1 ¸À´ÜÀÇ ¾Æµé ½º¹Ù´ô¿Í ¹Ù½ºÈÇÀÇ ¾Æµé ±×´Ù·ª¿Í ¼¿·¹¸ÏÀÇ ¾Æµé À¯°¥°ú ¸»±â¾ßÀÇ ¾Æµé ¹Ù½ºÈÇÀÌ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ¸ðµç ¹é¼º¿¡°Ô À̸£´Â ¸»À» µéÀºÁï À̸£±â¸¦ 1 Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jehucal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malkijah heard what Jeremiah was telling all the people when he said,
2 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇÏ½ÃµÇ ÀÌ ¼º¿¡ ¸Ó¹«´Â ÀÚ´Â Ä®°ú ±â±Ù°ú Àü¿°º´¿¡ Á×À¸¸®¶ó ±×·¯³ª °¥´ë¾ÆÀο¡°Ô Ç׺¹ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â »ì¸®´Ï ±×´Â ³ë·«¹°À» ¾òÀ½ °°ÀÌ ÀÚ±âÀÇ ¸ñ¼ûÀ» °ÇÁö¸®¶ó 2 "This is what the LORD says: 'Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague, but whoever goes over to the Babylonians will live. He will escape with his life; he will live.'
3 ¿©È£¿Í²²¼­ ÀÌ¿Í °°ÀÌ ¸»¾¸ÇϽô϶ó ÀÌ ¼ºÀÌ ¹Ýµå½Ã ¹Ùº§·ÐÀÇ ¿ÕÀÇ ±º´ëÀÇ ¼Õ¿¡ ³Ñ¾î°¡¸®´Ï ±×°¡ Â÷ÁöÇϸ®¶ó Çϼ̴٠ÇÏ´ÂÁö¶ó 3 And this is what the LORD says: 'This city will certainly be handed over to the army of the king of Babylon, who will capture it.' "
4 ÀÌ¿¡ ±× °í°üµéÀÌ ¿Õ²² ¾Æ·ÚµÇ ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¹é¼ºÀÇ Æò¾ÈÀ» ±¸ÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í Àç³­À» ±¸ÇÏ¿À´Ï ûÇÏ°Ç´ë ÀÌ »ç¶÷À» Á×À̼Ҽ­ ±×°¡ ÀÌ°°ÀÌ ¸»ÇÏ¿© ÀÌ ¼º¿¡ ³²Àº ±º»çÀÇ ¼Õ°ú ¸ðµç ¹é¼ºÀÇ ¼ÕÀ» ¾àÇÏ°Ô ÇϳªÀÌ´Ù 4 Then the officials said to the king, 'This man should be put to death. He is discouraging the soldiers who are left in this city, as well as all the people, by the things he is saying to them. This man is not seeking the good of these people but their ruin.'
5 ½Ãµå±â¾ß ¿ÕÀÌ À̸£µÇ º¸¶ó ±×°¡ ³ÊÈñ ¼Õ ¾È¿¡ ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó ¿ÕÀº Á¶±Ýµµ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ °Å½º¸¦ ¼ö ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó ÇÏ´ÂÁö¶ó 5 'He is in your hands,' King Zedekiah answered. 'The king can do nothing to oppose you.'
6 ±×µéÀÌ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¸¦ ²ø¾î´Ù°¡ °¨¿Á ¶ã¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¿ÕÀÇ ¾Æµé ¸»±â¾ßÀÇ ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡ ´øÁ® ³ÖÀ» ¶§¿¡ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¸¦ ÁÙ·Î ´Þ¾Æ³»·È´Âµ¥ ±× ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡´Â ¹°ÀÌ ¾ø°í Áøâ»ÓÀ̹ǷΠ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ Áøâ ¼Ó¿¡ ºüÁ³´õ¶ó 6 So they took Jeremiah and put him into the cistern of Malkijah, the king's son, which was in the courtyard of the guard. They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud.
7 ¿Õ±Ã ³»½Ã ±¸½ºÀÎ ¿¡ºª¸á·ºÀÌ ±×µéÀÌ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¸¦ ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡ ´øÁ® ³Ö¾úÀ½À» µéÀ¸´Ï¶ó ±× ¶§¿¡ ¿ÕÀÌ º£³Ä¹Î ¹®¿¡ ¾É¾Ò´õ´Ï 7 But Ebed-Melech, a Cushite, an official in the royal palace, heard that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern. While the king was sitting in the Benjamin Gate,
8 ¿¡ºª¸á·ºÀÌ ¿Õ±Ã¿¡¼­ ³ª¿Í ¿Õ²² ¾Æ·Ú¾î À̸£µÇ 8 Ebed-Melech went out of the palace and said to him,
9 ³» ÁÖ ¿ÕÀÌ¿© Àú »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ¼±ÁöÀÚ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¿¡°Ô ÇàÇÑ ¸ðµç ÀÏÀº ¾ÇÇÏ´ÏÀÌ´Ù ¼º Áß¿¡ ¶±ÀÌ ¶³¾îÁ³°Å´Ã ±×µéÀÌ ±×¸¦ ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡ ´øÁ® ³Ö¾úÀ¸´Ï ±×°¡ °Å±â¿¡¼­ ±¾¾î Á×À¸¸®ÀÌ´Ù ÇÏ´Ï 9 'My lord the king, these men have acted wickedly in all they have done to Jeremiah the prophet. They have thrown him into a cistern, where he will starve to death when there is no longer any bread in the city.'
10 ¿ÕÀÌ ±¸½º »ç¶÷ ¿¡ºª¸á·º¿¡°Ô ¸í·ÉÇÏ¿© À̸£µÇ ³Ê´Â ¿©±â¼­ »ï½Ê ¸íÀ» µ¥¸®°í °¡¼­ ¼±ÁöÀÚ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ Á×±â Àü¿¡ ±×¸¦ ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡¼­ ²ø¾î³»¶ó 10 Then the king commanded Ebed-Melech the Cushite, 'Take thirty men from here with you and lift Jeremiah the prophet out of the cistern before he dies.'
11 ¿¡ºª¸á·ºÀÌ »ç¶÷µéÀ» µ¥¸®°í ¿Õ±Ã °÷°£ ¹Ø ¹æ¿¡ µé¾î°¡¼­ °Å±â¿¡¼­ Çë°Ò°ú ³°Àº ¿ÊÀ» °¡Á®´Ù°¡ ±×°ÍÀ» ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¿¡°Ô ¹åÁÙ·Î ³»¸®¸ç 11 So Ebed-Melech took the men with him and went to a room under the treasury in the palace. He took some old rags and worn-out clothes from there and let them down with ropes to Jeremiah in the cistern.
12 ±¸½ºÀÎ ¿¡ºª¸á·ºÀÌ ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¿¡°Ô À̸£µÇ ´ç½ÅÀº ÀÌ Çë°Ò°ú ³°Àº ¿ÊÀ» ´ç½ÅÀÇ °Üµå¶ûÀÌ¿¡ ´ë°í ÁÙÀ» ±× ¾Æ·¡¿¡ ´ë½Ã¿À ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ±×´ë·Î ÇϸŠ12 Ebed-Melech the Cushite said to Jeremiah, 'Put these old rags and worn-out clothes under your arms to pad the ropes.' Jeremiah did so,
13 ±×µéÀÌ ÁÙ·Î ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß¸¦ ±¸µ¢ÀÌ¿¡¼­ ²ø¾î³½Áö¶ó ¿¹·¹¹Ì¾ß°¡ ½ÃÀ§´ë ¶ã¿¡ ¸Ó¹«´Ï¶ó 13 and they pulled him up with the ropes and lifted him out of the cistern. And Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.
