But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

7 °ñÂ¥±â ÀúÂÊ¿¡ ÀÖ´Â À̽º¶ó¿¤ »ç¶÷°ú ¿ä´Ü °Ç³ÊÂÊ¿¡ ÀÖ´Â ÀÚµéÀÌ À̽º¶ó¿¤ »ç¶÷µéÀÌ µµ¸ÁÇÑ °Í°ú »ç¿ï°ú ±×ÀÇ ¾ÆµéµéÀÌ Á×¾úÀ½À» º¸°í ¼ºÀ¾µéÀ» ¹ö¸®°í µµ¸ÁÇϸŠºí·¹¼Â »ç¶÷µéÀÌ À̸£·¯ °Å±â¿¡¼­ »ç´Ï¶ó 7 When the Israelites along the valley and those across the Jordan saw that the Israelite army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines came and occupied them.
8 ±× ÀÌƱ³¯ ºí·¹¼Â »ç¶÷µéÀÌ Á×Àº ÀÚ¸¦ ¹þ±â·¯ ¿Ô´Ù°¡ »ç¿ï°ú ±×ÀÇ ¼¼ ¾ÆµéÀÌ ±æº¸¾Æ »ê¿¡¼­ Á×Àº °ÍÀ» º¸°í 8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
9 »ç¿ïÀÇ ¸Ó¸®¸¦ º£°í ±×ÀÇ °©¿ÊÀ» ¹þ±â°í ÀÚ±âµéÀÇ ½Å´ç°ú ¹é¼º¿¡°Ô ¾Ë¸®±â À§ÇÏ¿© ±×°ÍÀ» ºí·¹¼Â »ç¶÷µéÀÇ ¶¥ »ç¹æ¿¡ º¸³»°í 9 They cut off his head and stripped off his armor, and they sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news in the temple of their idols and among their people.
10 ±×ÀÇ °©¿ÊÀº ¾Æ½º´Ù·ÔÀÇ Áý¿¡ µÎ°í ±×ÀÇ ½Ãü´Â º¦»ê ¼ºº®¿¡ ¸ø ¹ÚÀ¸¸Å 10 They put his armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths and fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.

They took down the bodies of Saul and his sons from the wall of Beth Shan and went to Jabesh, where they burned them.
