  잠언 5:1~14   Proverbs 5:1~14
1 내 아들아 내 지혜에 주의하며 내 명철에 네 귀를 기울여서 1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen well to my words of insight,
2 근신을 지키며 네 입술로 지식을 지키도록 하라 2 that you may maintain discretion and your lips may preserve knowledge.
3 대저 음녀의 입술은 꿀을 떨어뜨리며 그의 입은 기름보다 미끄러우나 3 For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil;
4 나중은 쑥 같이 쓰고 두 날 가진 칼 같이 날카로우며 4 but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword.
5 그의 발은 사지로 내려가며 그의 걸음은 스올로 나아가나니 5 Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.
6 그는 생명의 평탄한 길을 찾지 못하며 자기 길이 든든하지 못하여도 그것을 깨닫지 못하느니라 6 She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths are crooked, but she knows it not.
7 그런즉 아들들아 나에게 들으며 내 입의 말을 버리지 말고 7 Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say.
8 네 길을 그에게서 멀리 하라 그의 집 문에도 가까이 가지 말라 8 Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,
9 두렵건대 네 존영이 남에게 잃어버리게 되며 네 수한이 잔인한 자에게 빼앗기게 될까 하노라 9 lest you give your best strength to others and your years to one who is cruel,
10 두렵건대 타인이 네 재물로 충족하게 되며 네 수고한 것이 외인의 집에 있게 될까 하노라 10 lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich another man's house.
11 두렵건대 마지막에 이르러 네 몸, 네 육체가 쇠약할 때에 네가 한탄하여 11 At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.
12 말하기를 내가 어찌하여 훈계를 싫어하며 내 마음이 꾸지람을 가벼이 여기고 12 You will say, 'How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!
13 내 선생의 목소리를 청종하지 아니하며 나를 가르치는 이에게 귀를 기울이지 아니하였던고 13 I would not obey my teachers or listen to my instructors.
14 많은 무리들이 모인 중에서 큰 악에 빠지게 되었노라 하게 될까 염려하노라 14 I have come to the brink of utter ruin in the midst of the whole assembly.'
