  민수기 5:23~31   Numbers 5:23~31
23 제사장이 저주의 말을 두루마리에 써서 그 글자를 그 쓴 물에 빨아 넣고 23 “Then the priest shall write these curses in a book and wash them off into the water of bitterness.
24 여인에게 그 저주가 되게 하는 쓴 물을 마시게 할지니 그 저주가 되게 하는 물이 그의 속에 들어 가서 쓰리라 24 And he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that brings the curse, and the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain.
25 제사장이 먼저 그 여인의 손에서 의심의 소제물을 취하여 그 소제물을 여호와 앞에 흔들고 제단으로 가지고 가서 25 And the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy out of the woman's hand and shall wave the grain offering before the LORD and bring it to the altar.
26 제사장은 그 소제물 중에서 한 움큼을 취하여 그 여자에게 기억나게 하는 소제물로 제단 위에 불사르고 그 후에 여인에게 그 물을 마시게 할지라 26 And the priest shall take a handful of the grain offering, as its memorial portion, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water.
27 그 물을 마시게 한 후에 만일 여인이 몸을 더럽혀서 그 남편에게 범죄하였으면 그 저주가 되게 하는 물이 그의 속에 들어가서 쓰게 되어 그의 배가 부으며 그의 넓적다리가 마르리니 그 여인이 그 백성 중에서 저줏거리가 될 것이니라 27 And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.
28 그러나 여인이 더럽힌 일이 없고 정결하면 해를 받지 않고 임신하리라 28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she shall be free and shall conceive children.
29 이는 의심의 법이니 아내가 그의 남편을 두고 탈선하여 더럽힌 때나 29 “This is the law in cases of jealousy, when a wife, though under her husband's authority, goes astray and defiles herself,
30 또는 그 남편이 의심이 생겨서 자기의 아내를 의심할 때에 여인을 여호와 앞에 두고 제사장이 이 법대로 행할 것이라 30 or when the spirit of jealousy comes over a man and he is jealous of his wife. Then he shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall carry out for her all this law.
31 남편은 무죄할 것이요 여인은 죄가 있으면 당하리라 31 The man shall be free from iniquity, but the woman shall bear her iniquity.”
