27 왕이 두루마리와 바룩이 예레미야의 입을 통해 기록한 말씀을 불사른 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 이르시되 27 After the king burned the scroll containing the words that Baruch had written at Jeremiah's dictation, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
28 너는 다시 다른 두루마리를 가지고 유다의 여호야김 왕이 불사른 첫 두루마리의 모든 말을 기록하고 28 'Take another scroll and write on it all the words that were on the first scroll, which Jehoiakim king of Judah burned up.
29 또 유다의 여호야김 왕에 대하여 이와 같이 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 네가 이 두루마리를 불사르며 말하기를 네가 어찌하여 바벨론의 왕이 반드시 와서 이 땅을 멸하고 사람과 짐승을 이 땅에서 없어지게 하리라 하는 말을 이 두루마리에 기록하였느냐 하도다 29 Also tell Jehoiakim king of Judah, 'This is what the LORD says: You burned that scroll and said, "Why did you write on it that the king of Babylon would certainly come and destroy this land and cut off both men and animals from it?"
30 그러므로 여호와께서 유다의 왕 여호야김에 대하여 이와 같이 말씀하시니라 그에게 다윗의 왕위에 앉을 자가 없게 될 것이요 그의 시체는 버림을 당하여 낮에는 더위, 밤에는 추위를 당하리라 30 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim king of Judah: He will have no one to sit on the throne of David; his body will be thrown out and exposed to the heat by day and the frost by night.
31 또 내가 그와 그의 자손과 신하들을 그들의 죄악으로 말미암아 벌할 것이라 내가 일찍이 그들과 예루살렘 주민과 유다 사람에게 그 모든 재난을 내리리라 선포하였으나 그들이 듣지 아니하였느니라 31 I will punish him and his children and his attendants for their wickedness; I will bring on them and those living in Jerusalem and the people of Judah every disaster I pronounced against them, because they have not listened.' "
32 이에 예레미야가 다른 두루마리를 가져다가 네리야의 아들 서기관 바룩에게 주매 그가 유다의 여호야김 왕이 불사른 책의 모든 말을 예레미야가 전하는 대로 기록하고 그 외에도 그 같은 말을 많이 더 하였더라 32 So Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated, Baruch wrote on it all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many similar words were added to them.
